After one year of our donation, Teddy and Sebas meet again in Kenya to follow the path of water and plant more trees. At OCB, we use natural and sustainable resources to power our industry. Preserving water and making a cautious use of it, is at its core.

The role that acacia trees can play in reverting climate change and desertification in Africa led us to define our contribution: To replant trees in areas affected by desertification, areas where they are needed the most. Reforestation is one of the most effective ways of battling desertification; hence, it was only natural for us to turn to the mighty acacia tree, the veritable hero of this story. Kenya is experiencing an increasingly severe process of deforestation and desertification. Aware of this, OCB decided to investigate the initiatives being undertaken to address the issue. Together with Glassy Films, we made two trips to the country in 2019 and 2020 to witness the problem firsthand and to discover projects like Seedballs Kenya, one of the leading companies driving a reforestation initiative in the country.
